Our Mission:

The Love Fontana Initiative mobilizes churches, community groups, local schools, and the business community to work together to bring beauty, hope, and transformation to some of the most challenged areas in the City of Fontana. Through this collaborative effort, volunteers gather to help transform neighborhoods through an impactful day of service and beautification projects.

In recent years, we were able to do 3 separate events and reach over 2,000 people in the community. We served food for the body and brought hope for the soul! We were able to provide free food, free haircuts, free activities, and an opportunity to get to know the families of Fontana! This year we want to be able to serve even more people. To do that, we look forward to partnering with our local community groups, churches, local schools, and business owners of Fontana. Your sponsorship and participation will play a big role in helping make this mission a success. We have booth spaces available and the ability to advertise who you are and what you bring to the City of Fontana. Making a difference starts with us. By working together, we can make a difference in people’s lives and keep our city great!

our project

Through this volunteer day, we hope to bring a sense of hope, pride, and ownership to our community one neighborhood at a time. Our goal is to make a difference, and the difference starts with us. This summer we will make it our mission to beautify a portion of the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail so that our neighbors may enjoy a more welcoming environment along the trail. Also, to celebrate our love for this awesome city, we are hosting a community fair full of faith, family, fun and will be providing resources and information for the whole family.

love fontana "bigger than self" outreach

This outreach is a collaborative effort bringing churches, community groups, and local businesses together to celebrate our love for the community by hosting a community fair. We will be providing free food and drinks, free haircuts, free games, free activities, entertainment, resources, and information for the whole family. It is our mission to serve as many local residents as possible to show our love, get to know them, and bring a sense of hope and pride to the community.  Galations 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.

Hands to the Plow "Bigger Than Self" Project

The purpose of this project is to bring a sense of hope, pride, and ownership to our community. We are working with the City of Fontana Public Works Department and will be cleaning and laying mulch along one and a half miles of the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail. We have invited the football teams of all five high schools within the Fontana Unified School District, the FLIP program, and the Fontana Police Department’s Explorers to volunteer at this event. By bringing together the youth from the different high schools, we hope to not only give them a sense of pride, but to teach them that they can come together from different areas and work as one big team to make a difference.
